Day 191 | How I grow my YouTube channel with a 2-hour Quick Content Creation

If I could change one thing, it would be speeding up my content creation. 🧐

Yesterday, a viewer commented that my video tutorial is out of date because the app has changed.

I quickly responded because this is one of my popular videos getting a lot of views, subscribers, and revenue. 

This is what I did within 2 hours.

👉 1.  Record a new video tutorial using my Samsung Galaxy S10 Android phone with the native camera. 

👉 2.  Edit and add voice-over to the recording using the Capcut app on the Samsung Galaxy S10.

👉  3. Upload the edited video to my YouTube as unlisted using the Youtube app on my Samsung Galaxy S10.

👉  4. Add Title, description, and thumbnail, then switched to Public using the Youtube Studio app on my S10.

👉  5. Add tags using VidIQ and Tubebuddy using Youtube on a Windows laptop. 

👉  6. On the old video, inform new visitors about the new video by doing these 5 things:

- Add a Card at the beginning with a link to the new video.

- Add a link to the new video at the EndScreen. 

- Write a comment and pinned it.

- Add the link at the beginning of the description. 

- Reply to all the comments telling me it is outdated

👉 7. Share the new video to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Blogspot, Wordpress and to the channel subscribers.


Within 2 hours, I did everything that I do for all my Youtube videos... Oh yes, including turning on monetization. 😉

    7 ways to get more YouTube subscribers in 2021 

    Let's look at the strategies that worked for SEO expert Brian Dean of Backlinko.com. (...and compare what I have done)
    1. Create power playlists organized by outcomes (okay let me do this)
    2. Publish videos longer than 10 minutes because they rank better (not true for my Channel but let's give it a go)
    3. Promote another video in the end screen (done that and still doing)
    4. Change The Branding watermark into a subscribe button (I have that but it's not a button so let's change it)
    5. Focus on quality not quantity (so far so good that's the way I do it)
    6. Reply to every comment immediately (I am doing this consistently)
    7. Write a compelling Channel description that includes the channel overview, the topics covered, who your channel is for, and a call to action to subscribe. (let's change mine)

    What did I learn?
    • Use these 10 query words in front of keywords when researching on Google Search... What, Who, When, Where, Why, How, Which, Will, Are, and Can.
    • I am repeating my mistakes. Trying to edit my live videos and wasting time. Don't.
    • Set habit goals instead of destination goals.
    • Streaming and Youtubing is my lifestyle. 
    • Tiktok tip - If your account is getting a lot of views and you are not engaging with the comments, Tiktok will stop showing your videos to more people. So I started replying the all the comments that were left in the last 3 days.
    • Whatever we post now will see fruits 3 to 6 months later. How long the fruits last depends on the topic. 
    • I can do one thing at a time. Cannot multi-task. 
    • Drop everything at 5 pm. Switch my mind to a different topic. Switchback tomorrow morning. 🥰
    • The top three gimbals people are searching for DJI OM4, Zhiyun smooth 4, and Zhiyun smooth Q2.
    • These are the topics with million searches. Other brand gimbal videos are slowing down my viewership. 
    • Should I buy the DJI OM4? Is the DJI OM5 coming out soon? The DJI OM4 was released in August 2020, so expect the DJI OM5 to be announced around August 2021. Buy DJI OM4. The number #1 talked about gimbal.
