Getting On TikTok Discover Page Trending Hashtag

On 26 October 2020, 2:30 p.m., I discovered my video being featured on the TikTok Discover page!

My Tiktok video is the first one under the trending hashtag #iPhone12. How did that happen? 😱 #tiktok #trending #trendinghashtag #vlog #vlogging

What did I do?

1. I posted the video on the same day as the iPhone 12 launch.

2. I put in as many relevant tags as possible.

3. I shared the video on popular platforms like Twitter Facebook and Pinterest.

What I didn't do but thought I should have done?

1. I did not put the #FYP.

2. I did not write before I record. It was impromptu.

3. I did not use any visual effects no humour.

What did I do before posting to TikTok?

1. I watched the live Apple iPhone 12 launch video.

2. I recorded a selfie video about three things that I learned from the launch... Without writing any notes.

3. The selfie video is then edited and posted on Facebook and YouTube.

4. The edited video is then shortened into one minute and posted on TikTok.

Now, that being documented, let's see if I can repeat the same formula for other products.
