300 Affiliate Clicks Challenge Day 1: What is Working

What happened?

Affiliate marketing is working. Getting sales orders every day. However, the numbers cannot replace living expenses yet. And it seems to be dwindling.

Amzn 300 clicks Challenge

- Last Night. 215 clicks. 9 orders.

- This morning. 3 orders while I slept.

- Tonight. 146 clicks. 3 orders. 

What works?

Most of the affiliate sales came from trending searches. For example, iPhone webcams, video capture cards and free doodly downloads. The other two are daily searches. For example CD printers and HDMI extenders.

What did not work?

As the trend passes, the number of orders reduces.

What did you learn?

- The orders came from the traffic going to my blogs and my YouTube videos.

- The videos and the websites were ranked in search engines especially Google and YouTube.

The interesting thing is, I did not write the blogs nor create the videos with the intention to rank in search engines. They were created as documentation to what I was actually experiencing.

However, when one of them received massive traffic, I created more variations of the content in different forms. For example, from a blog to a video... As well as from a video to a blog.

I also know that regular sharing of the popular post on social media and Pinterest actually boost the post more.

At the back of my mind, I am now thinking... I'm sure there are many other trends going on in other areas that I'm missing because I haven't written any articles nor made any videos about them. The question is, should I deliberately create the experience so that I can create the content out of these missing trends.

What can be done better?

👉Identify new trends. Talk about them in the blog and in the videos. Get the products and review them physically. See what other content creators are talking about now. 

What's going to stop me?

I am already overwhelmed with multiple tasks.

How can I overcome that?

It's all about time management. Do one thing at a time and get it done.
