Get 100K Youtube subscribers at https://YouTube.com/videolane by the end of 2021 (that equals 270 new subscribers per day 😱).

• Yesterday - 21120 subscribers - up 13. 
• Today - 21139 subscribers - up 19. 

Sub-challenge #1 

Get 1000 Affiliate Clicks In the last 28 days ( and 20 Orders every day)

• Yesterday -  117 clicks. 5 orders. 1 refund from YT. 19 clicks from YouTube.
• Today - 167 clicks. 10 orders. 0 from YT. 23 clicks from YouTube.
• Overnight. 9 orders. None from YouTube. 

Sub-challenge #2 

Get 1000 Views at https://gumroad.com/adrianlee in the last 30 days (and 10 Sales every day)

• Yesterday - 180 views. 19 downloads. 0 sale.
• Today - 176 views. 19 downloads. 0 sale.
• Where are the views coming from?
• Blog, email, Tiktok, Youtube
• What can I do to increase views?
• Redirect all AW's opt-in boxes with gumroad links.
• Reminder to self - Why am I doing this?
• Gumroad is where I place my free and paid digital downloads. Eg. E-courses.
• Gumroad is faster to manage than AW when targeting paid or free followers.
• Eventually, cancel AW's US$179/year (S$250) subscription before renewal on Dec 2021.

• Yesterday. 49.2K followers. Up 0.
• Today. 49.4K followers. Up 200.
• This is what I found out and what I did.
• If your account is getting a lot of views and you are not engaging with the comments, Tiktok will stop showing your videos to more people.
• So I started replying the all the comments that were left in the last 3 days.
• What has Tiktok got to do with YouTube? New YT subscribers are coming from TT.

How to do research for a Youtube video

Question - "Hey Adrian, if I know the topic I want to create a video with, but do not know the content well, where do you go to do the research?"

I don't want to make a video that nobody cares to watch.

So I have to research what people want to know about a topic.

If I don't know much about a topic, and don't even know what to ask, I will go and find out what other people are asking. 

1. Type the topic into Google search.
2. Note the list of suggestions people are searching for. 
3. Add alphabets in front of the topic for more suggestions. 
4. Explore each relevant suggestion. 
5. Choose one suggestion you want to make a video about.
6. Go to Tubebuddy to check if this t, the topic is worth creating.
7. Next ask a question in Google search.
8. Scroll down the result to the People also ask section.
9. Open up the questions relevant to your research.
10. Noquestionsnswers to a different question.

While researching, outline all the notes in a private blog post. 

The outline post will be my script for my next video.

When the video is done, I will embed the new YouTube video into this outline blog post and make it public.

7 ways to get more YouTube subscribers in 2021 

Let's look at the strategies that worked for SEO expert Brian Dean of Backlinko.com. (...and compare what I have done)

1. Create power playlists organized by outcomes (okay let me do this)
2. Publish videos longer than 10 minutes because they rank better (not true for my Channel but let's give it a go)
3. Promote another video in the end screen (done that and still doing)
4. Change The Branding watermark into a subscribe button (I have that but it's not a button so let's change it)
5. Focus on quality not quantity (so far so good that's the way I do it)
6. Reply to every comment immediately (I am doing this consistently)
7. Write a compelling Channel description that includes the channel overview, the topics covered, who your channel is for, and a call to action to subscribe. (let's change mine)

• These are the topics with million searches. Other brand gimbal videos are slowing down my viewership. 
• Should I buy the DJI OM4? Is the DJI OM5 coming out soon? The DJI OM4 was released in August 2020, so expect the DJI OM5 to be announced around August 2021. Buy DJI OM4. The number #1 talked about gimbal.
